Life Story for Immacolata "Anna" Parrillo

SCHENECTADY—Immacolata “Anna” Parrillo, 81, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2016 at Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care in Dobson, North Carolina.

Born in Moiano, Province of Benevento Italy, Anna was the daughter of the late Nicola and Alfonsina Matera Morzillo. She immigrated to the United States in 1973. She lived as a homemaker, caring for her husband and family. Anna enjoyed playing slots at the casino, especially in Saratoga. She loved to travel to Italy, Florida and Texas. She was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a member of the former Madonna Della Libera Society.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pasquale Parrillo; siblings, Ninarella Luciano and Sr. Giulia Morzillo.

Survivors include her loving children, Phyllis (William Vasko) DiMeo, Patricia (Steve) Bowman and Liberato “Leo” Parrillo; cherished grandchildren, Alfonso L. (Cheryl) DiMeo, Jennifer Higgins, Zachary Parrillo, Brandon Parrillo; adored great-grandchildren, Anna Long and Dylan A. DiMeo; devoted siblings, Gennaro Morzillo, Carmela Sarappa, Luigi Morzillo, Maria Cerrone and Antonio Morzillo; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place. Interment to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Ferrari Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street (at McClellan St. in Jones Funeral Home) on Monday morning from 9 until 10 AM.
