Life Story for Ernest Capullo

Ernest Capullo
BALLSTON LAKE—Ernest A. Capullo, 95, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Ernest was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Martin and Elena Capullo. He honorably and valiantly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for 45 years for Robert Van Patten Home Builders, having his hands in various positions. Prior to that he worked at Knolls Atomic Power Lab, and Lawless Brothers Construction in Syracuse NY, before relocating once again to Schenectady. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and NY Giants. His most pleasure was being with his family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Marion Capullo; son-in-law, Robert Ausfeld; brothers, Edward, Armond, Charles, Frank, Louis, and Harvey Capullo; His sisters, Mary Valletta, Matilda Ranze and Eleanor Capullo.
Survivors include his loving children, Marion Ausfeld, Ellen De Crosta (Tom) and Theresa (Mike) Saburro; His devoted grandchildren, Corey (Carolyn) Ausfeld, Craig DeCrosta (Stephanie Clark), Brian (Suzanne ) Ausfeld, Eric DeCrosta, Dena (Ian) Henderson, Morgan Ausfeld Lewandowski, Merissa Saburro (Scottie Bergen) and Michael Saburro; His great grandchildren, Kendell and Charlotte Ausfeld, Adam and Reese Lewandowski and Dylan Henderson; sisters, Alice Lunick, Paula Capullo and Dorothy Cotugno; very dear brother in law, Jack Lawless and dear sister in law, Joan Lawless; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 2 PM at the Ferrari Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street (at McClellan St. in Jones Funeral Home). Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Ernest’s family on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service.
To remember Ernest in a special way, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, New York, 12144 or to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, New York 12302.
