Life Story for Frank Caracciolo

Frank Caracciolo
Schenectady - Frank James Caracciolo passed away suddenly on July 12, 2016. Frank was born in Schenectady on October 6, 1954, the son of Joseph and Rose (Mazzola) Caracciolo.

Frank graduated Valedictorian from Bishop Gibbons High School in 1972. He went on to earn a degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration and Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Chicago in 1980. Following graduation Frank joined his father at the family business F. Caracciolo and Son, a food wholesaler in Schenectady as Vice President of Finance. He also worked in a similar capacity for United Foods after a merger with Crisafulli Foods in Albany. After retiring from United Foods, Frank continued his career and currently served as Controller at San Croix Tanning Salons in the capital region.

Frank enjoyed the simple joys of life and family. He was quick witted, a good listener and would often find a simple solution to a pressing problem.

Frank was predeceased by his loving companion Antoinette Colucci.

He is survived by his beloved father, Joseph and mother, Rose (Mazzola) Caracciolo; two sisters, Carol Candeloro (Nick) and Marianne Romano (Ron); nieces, Kim and Katie Candeloro; and nephews, David and Joe Romano; as well as his aunts Loretta Galusha Helen Allen, Ann Goodhart, Lucy Bowen, Louise Mazzola and numerous cousins.

Calling hours at Ferrari Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street (at McClellan St. in Jones Funeral home) in Schenectady will be 4 to 7 pm on Friday. Funeral services will begin at 8:00 am Saturday July 16, at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Saint Paul the Apostle Church, Albany Street, Schenectady at 9 AM. Interment will be in Schenectady at Saint John the Baptist Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Schenectady or a charity of your choice.
